ANDREW WILLIAMSON

Forensic Consultant and Trainer

Andrew has been engaged with the military and police for over 39 years, serving in the Royal Air Force, UK National Police and Abu Dhabi Police. During this time, he fulfilled many operational and training roles working in many challenging and high-stress environments and situations.  He has successfully fulfilled all of the roles within operational crime scene investigation from investigator, Covert Level 2, Crime Scene Manager, Crime Scene Coordinator, Scientific Support Manager, Major Incident Team Advisor and National Training Advisor.  Andrew has worked within UK and International government departments on various prestigious projects.  During his work with the UK Home Office, as a Subject Matter Expert, he developed and reviewed national policing projects, and policing training programs to identify knowledge and training gaps and develop training needs analyses. More recently he led a team of senior police officers delivering training to UAE police as well as designing and developing vocational and academic accredited training programs.  He specialises in forensic investigation consultancy and training working with vocational and academic establishments; his teaching experience includes crime scene investigation, operational management and coordination, covert forensic practices, forensic intelligence and general police training.  Andrew has a PG Diploma in Training and Development and was recently awarded a Masters Degree (MLitt) in Terrorism Studies. Continuing with his professional development he is researching for a Professional Doctorate (PhD) in the Policing, Crime and Security.
