Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) Course
The aim of this 1 day course is to provide students with the knowledge and understanding of the PACE Codes of Practice and what that means in practical terms to their investigations in order that evidence and material which is gathered may be used successfully in court proceedings.
Investigation Course – Essentials
The aim of this 3 day course is to provide students with an overview of the relevant legislation and the most essential and effective skills to safely conduct an investigation which may lead to internal discipline, industrial tribunal or court proceedings.
Statement Taking Course
The aim of this 2 day course is to provide students with the knowledge and understanding of the legislation that applies to taking statements and provide them with practical methodologies to produce statements that will withstand judicial scrutiny
Disclosure Officers Course
The aim of this 2 day course is to provide students with the knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 (CPIA) and what that means in practical terms to plan, prepare and execute the disclosure of all evidential material used in court proceedings.
Court Familiarisation and Presentation of Evidence
By the end of this 1 day course the student will have developed an understanding of the Magistrate Court and Crown Court structure and procedures and be confident in their ability to present evidence (whether as Investigator, Law enforcement, Para-legal or Lawyer) effectively.
