Forensic Student Workshop (14-18 yrs)

The aim of the worksop is to provide 14 -18 year old students with the basic knowledge, understanding and ability to search and exploit crime scenes and recover various types of evidence.
The day will comprise of classroom based learning and demonstrations coupled with significant practical exercises which will give the students the tools to undertake their own crime scene examination.
The following modules will be covered:
- Introduction to Forensics and Crime Scene Investigation
- Trace evidence
- Fingerprinting
- Footwear marks and impressions
- Crime Scene Examination Assessment
Venue and Catering
The workshop will be delivered from our Forensic Training Academy which is situated within Farnham College. All students should bring their own drinking bottles, refreshments and lunch for the day.
Risk Assessment
The academy has completed a comprehensive risk assessment in accordance with government guidelines and can safely deliver training to a maximum of 6 students on each workshop. Students who have had COVID19, shown symptoms or are ‘Shielded’ MUST contact training@igcuk.com to seek approval to attend the workshop.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Full protective equipment including protective overalls, face-masks and gloves will be provided for all students. Notwithstanding that full PPE is provided students should wear casual inexpensive clothing.
